Things in the Makerspace

Medway Library Makerspace is OPEN!

3D Printer, Large Format Printer, Slide/Negative/Photo digital image converter, 8mm/Super 8 film converter, VHS to DVD converter, DVD/CD Duplicator, DVD/CD Buffer, Epson Scanner, Thermal Laminator, Green Screen, Sewing Machines, Bulky Knitting Machine, Soldering Iron, Silhouette Cameo 3 (Vinyl/Paper Cutter)*, Fabrics and other Craft Items, Pom Pom makers
 
* Please note that the Silhouette Cameo 3 machine is similiar to a cricut machine.  It is a computerized machine that  uses a small blade to cut over 100 materials, including paper, cardstock, vinyl, and fabric up to 12 inches wide.

The following machines require certification prior to use:  3D printer, sewing machines, Silhouette Cameo 3 Vinyl/Paper Cutter, Bulky Knitting Machine & soldering iron.
 
During the certification you will be shown how to properly use the machine in order to prevent injury to you or damage to the machine.

Makerspace is open Mon thru Thurs 10am-9:30pm, Fri-Sat 10am-2pm

Every Thursday 10am-12pm & Thursday from 1-3pm, someone will be available to help with the equipment in the Makerspace, - Medway Cable Access

Slide converter (Epson scanner)
Large scale printer
8mm converter
Small slide/photo/negative converter

 



Makerspace Forms

The Medway Public Library requires a couple of forms to be signed prior to working in the Makerspace. One is a liability waiver and the other is the rules of the room. Please fill them out and bring them to the circulation desk of the library.   Once they have been checked for accuracy, your name will be added to our list of patrons who can use the room. Please remember that certain pieces of equipment require additional certification prior to being allowed to use.

Makerspace Minor Waiver Form (each child must sign their own form along with a parent or guardian)

Makerspace Maker Agreement (Rules of the Room) (each member of the family must sign this agreement. please indicate minors ages and names)
